The Assassination Of James J. Lee

His gun was a fake. A starter pistol, usually used to start a race; in this case a race to the body bag. His bombs little more than Hollywood props. In fact he told a “hostage” that he got the idea from watching the movie “Speed”. That’s what he modeled the look of the “bomb” on.

In February 2008, James J. Lee organized a protest in front of the Discovery Channel building. He paid homeless Americans to picket in front of the building. Busy, overworked Americans walking past typing on their Blackberries ignored the protest, unconcerned with what was being protested as they had been trained to do by the “news” media who also ignore such demonstrations unless organized by their super-rich friends who own the world.

With the protest fully underway James J. Lee began to throw money into the air. $20,000 in cash he scattered to the wind. The well dressed Americans did not care about James J. Lee’s cause just as they do not care about their fellow Americans who are left on the sidewalk, but they sure do like free cash. Those well dressed Americans put their Blackberries away and rubbed elbows with the homeless Americans as they all grabbed madly for the free money. This gave the Police their cause and James J. Lee was arrested for “disorderly conduct”.

Where did James J. Lee find the homeless Americans? Probably the homeless shelter he lived at. And where did James J. Lee get $20,000? He inherited property in Hawaii that he sold for $90,000. I wasn’t aware that property could be bought for $90,000 in Hawaii. Perhaps James J. Lee was ripped off too. He said that he threw the money into the air to show that “Money means nothing. Money is trash”.

James J. Lee also attempted to do things like those who own everything do. He took out a full page ad in a free newspaper owned by the Washington Post called “The Express”, which advertised the protest ahead of time. This was a brilliant piece of street theater that was extremely costly for someone like James J. Lee. It was a large part of his net worth. Yet it received no attention from the Washington Post, who profited from selling James J. Lee ad space. Donald Graham, the publisher of the Washington Post, did not mind taking James J. Lee’s money, but Donald Graham would rather die than see an interview with James J. Lee published in his “news” paper.

James J. Lee also organized an essay contest, paying $20 for each submission and periodically awarding $1,000- for the best essay.

So who was James J. Lee? That is all that mattered to the Washington Post and Donald Graham, or The Discovery Channel and it’s CEO David Zaslav. Clearly James J. Lee was intelligent, creative and extremely concerned about the state of the world. But that meant nothing to the Washington Post or Discovery Channel. Just as the death of James J. Lee meant nothing to MSNBC, CNN, FOX News, ABC News, CBS News, or NBC News.

The New York Times wrote a short piece about the murder of James J. Lee, which they -as the rest of the media did- went to great lengths to justify. I watched live as the mascara wearing male anchor on FOX News, Shepard Smith, openly discussed with a former member of one of the police death squads in this country how he thought James J. Lee was “a whole lot of nuts” and speculated that the gun and bombs might be “fake”. The retired death squad member agreed with this.

Everyone knew it. Yet the fascists shot James J. Lee as if he were no more than an insect. Not a dog, an insect. America treats dogs far, far better than America ever treated James J. Lee. Dog shelters are far cleaner and more humane than the shelters provided for homeless people (never referred to as Americans by the fascist “news” media). Dogs are adopted by the thousands from those animal shelters everyday in America. People are left to rot on a cot in the cockroach invested shelter, or out on the sidewalk.

What were James J. Lee’s demands? Surely he had demands. Why else take hostages? Well, the media had no interest in that. The New York Times little piece served as a simple obituary for James J. Lee. No reason to ever inquire further as to why James J. Lee did what he did.

Probably out of guilt and effort to pat themselves on the back the Washington Post finally got around to doing a short follow up over two weeks later and informed us finally that James J. Lee wanted to go on the air live on The Discovery Channel and air his grievances, which he had put on his Web site savetheplanetprotest.com (see below, site has been taken down) This is what you may have read scathing “quotes” from in your paper. Far from being some monster as portrayed, savetheplanetprotest.com strongly advocates for peace. James J. Lee advocated an end to the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction. An end to the manufacture of all weapons of war, and an end to conflict between people. An end to capitalism, as in his view the war machine and economic expansion is destroying the planet. Clearly there are hundreds of millions of people on this planet who agree with James J. Lee on this. There was certainly plenty of room to begin a discussion with James J. Lee, but he was not connected to the system, not even connected to any established peace groups who he denounced as “FAKE!”. James J. Lee was not friends with Arianna Huffington or Arianna’s fawning booster Christopher Matthews. The New York Times would rather go bankrupt than talk to an American like James J. Lee.

James J. Lee denounced immigration to America and to all industrialized nations, as this allows populations to expand as those who leave create room for the births of more people, and the immigrants swell the populations of the lands they emigrate to. This is factually correct. Immigration is straight up exploitation of the poor.

Bill Maher, who thinks out loud that most Americans are idiots. Mr. Maher put the famous witch from Delaware on the political map. Here he shows us how he feels about us "I'm rich and famous and you're not!"

The immigrants not only do not get paid decently, but their arrival creates and maintains a surplus of labor so no one at the bottom gets paid. The rich get richer and the poor become poorer. The New York Times denounces anyone who opposes the third world invasion of America. Arthur Sulzberger JR, publisher of the New York Times has even published outright lies in front page stories of his “news” paper. I recall reading one back in I believe 2006 that claimed that the owner of an orchard had offered $15 an hour to Americans to pick his fruit with no takers. Imagine that, Americans who were unemployed, Americans who worked at Wal-Mart or Burger King’s drive in window at 1:00AM for minimum wage had no interest in being paid more than twice as much to pick fruit. Arthur Sulzberger JR must think we are all really dumb to print such an outrageous lie.

And the world becomes ever more populated and polluted.

That is the last numbered point on James J. Lee’s Web site. Find a solution for the unemployed? Build housing for those who need it?

No wonder the fascist death squad shot him!

And with the approval of the Beijing style propaganda organs -like David Zaslav’s Discovery Channel- who deliver to us fake news every day of the week. Fox “News” talks about MSNBC, while MSNBC talks about FOX “News”. And CNN and Anderson Cooper cover the weather. There’s always a storm somewhere on the planet, and CNN is there to bring it to you.

Poverty? Homeless Americans? Americans dying for lack of health care? CNN will bring news of this from Haiti or some other third world bomb crater, but you’ll never see Anderson Cooper in Camden New Jersey. No Anderson Cooper at a tent city in Sacramento, California. No telethons for Americans with no apartment to live in. No one from a think tank to air the grievance of those left on the sidewalk in the world’s richest country. No celebrity moved to demand that Washington do something about the legions of Americans rotting on our streets (Martin Sheen exempted).

And oh the celebrities! They’re always in court! They’re always forgetting to wear their panties under their micro mini skirts! What’s up with that, are they auditioning for an anchor position on FOX “News”?

We’re drowning in celebrities, but poverty? Only on our sidewalks, never on the “news”.

Every “news” channel has a “panel” of what they call experts. But none of those panels ever had James J. Lee on as a guest. Bill Maher may have helped launch the witch’s political career, but Bill Maher never talked to James J. Lee. Talking about witchcraft and goblins is OK, but there will be no talk about ending the War on Islam, ending the War on Drugs, housing for Americans left on the sidewalk, and providing government paid healthcare for any citizen who needs it.

James J. Lee did not graduate from Harvard. James J. Lee did not have a “fellowship” at a think tank that was sponsored by billionaire bloodsuckers who run America. James J. Lee was not employed by Goldman Sacks. James J. Lee was not a billionaire bloodsucker now running a fraudulent tax write-off called a “charity”. David Remnick never invited James J. Lee to any New Yorker seminar. David Remnick wouldn’t be caught dead rubbing elbows with an American like James J. Lee. David Remnick is too busy promoting a war against innocent Muslims and preserving what David Remnick sees as the right of Israelis to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians from Palestine.

James J. Lee was just one of us. One of the 90% of Americans who have no economic prosperity in our future. James J. Lee was nothing more than an American, a concerned citizen with passion and ideas. And he took his position to the next logical step actually. He decided that “Money is trash.”

Indeed it is. Housing is not trash though, and James J. Lee recognized this and demanded that housing be provided for those who need it. Health care is not trash either, but those who control the “news” media tell us it is. The fascist “news” media pounds into the viewers head the slogan “support the police!”, while defining doctors and nurses as some form of parasite. In other words, those who wear uniforms that give them permission to beat, arrest and murder the American people are to be supported, while those who would heal us when we are sick are to be shunned as some sort of criminal conspiracy.

James J. Lee demanded an end to the production of war, but the “news” media continue to tell us big lies about the fictional terrorist group they call Al Qaeda, when anyone who actually reads the news stories deeply knows that Al Qaeda does not exist, but few read deeply.

James J. Lee advocated an end to war, but the “news” media continue to advocate the “War on Drugs”, which is nothing more than a bloodsucking fascist scam designed to imprison the poor and ambitious, while creating a trillion dollar slush fund for crooked cops, CIA agents, and well connected Pentagon operatives and their corporate buddies and bankers.

The War on Drugs has destroyed Mexico, Columbia and is threatening to destroy many other nations in Latin America. It has certainly contributed to the destruction of America as well, and if this criminal war is not ended entirely -meaning the legalization and controlled sale of all drugs including crack and heroin- America will descend into the same abyss as Mexico and Columbia. Prohibition never worked here.

400,000 Americans drink themselves to death every year. It is completely legal to do so. Guns and automobiles do not kill half as many Americans as alcohol does. All the so-called evil drugs kill a small fraction of this number, yet you can buy crack, heroin, PCP, ecstasy and pot within a half mile of any state or Federal courthouse in the USA.

The “War on Drugs” is a trillion dollar fascist criminal enterprise.

On Wednesday September 1^st, 2010, the fascists murdered a good American who cared about this country and the rest of those who live on this planet. The fascists murdered this man who cared nothing for money, who called money “trash”, and demonstrated his commitment to that belief by spending at least a quarter of his net worth to stage a protest and try to start a movement to save the planet from environmental destruction outside David Zaslav’s Discovery Channel headquarters. The fascists murdered James J. Lee because he cared about people and animals, and hated war, pollution and capitalist bloodsuckers. The fascists murdered James J. Lee because he was one of us, the American people, and the fascist bloodsuckers and their fake, murderous “news” media hate us.

James J. Lee, who indeed was ready to do something. While the rest of you sat there and did nothing, James J. Lee actually left his residence and did something to fight the bloodsuckers.

On the first Monday in September the fascist bloodsuckers tell us to celebrate Labor Day by patronizing the “White Sale” at Wal-Mart, where tens of thousands of Americans work, but do not get paid. From now on this holiday will be canceled, and instead we will celebrate James J. Lee day on the 1^st day of September, no matter what day of the week the 1^st of September happens to be. We will celebrate James J. Lee not by buying cheap crap made in China, but by engaging in political activism, by taking action which will infuriate the fascist bloodsuckers. We will not blog; we will leave our residence and take action.

Start planning for James J. Lee day, the first such day is less than one year away on September 1^st, 2011.

UPDATE: January 12, 2011

Over four months have passed since the assassination of James J. Lee at the Discovery Channel headquarters. What new stories have been written about Mr. Lee during this period following his assassination?

Zero.

What action have members of the Bar taken on behalf of Mr. Lee who was unarmed?

Nothing.

James J. Lee was ignored during his life, and he has been shoved down the Orwellian memory hole in death. One of America’s most caring and creative political protestors was assassinated and slandered by a “news” media that would never acknowledge him. And in the intervening months following his death no one in this fascist corporate mouth piece of capitalism has shown the least regret in how they treated Mr. Lee. No one has revisited what was done and more importantly what was not done while Mr. Lee was alive to prevent this tragedy.

Why is that?

Well, there is one important facet of the capitalist fascist system that Mr. Lee never came to terms with.

You are who you kill.

Who are the most recognized political protestors in American history?

John Wilkes Booth? Lee Harvey Oswald? James Earl Ray?

OK, only Booth assuredly did the deed. He led a conspiracy to try to decapitate Lincoln’s government (though most Americans have actually been led to believe that he acted alone! Conspiracy is the official story and four co-conspirators including the first woman were hanged). Still, Oswald and Ray are the official assassins, and they have both outlived their deaths in the public’s mind.

There are no political protestors in America who are remembered who have not killed and killed someone important, or otherwise violently struck out against the system in some large event as Timothy McVeigh and his co-conspirators (many unnamed, unprosecuted Federal agents in the FBI and ATF), the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, or the now largely forgotten Eric Robert Rudolph who set off a pipe bomb during the Olympic games in Atlanta among other targets, targets which would not have given him the notoriety he did achieve. Indeed, both Rudolph and Kaczynski are better known as the Olympic Park Bomber and the Unabomber than they are by their actual names.

A recent event in the headlines from Arizona is another case in point. Jared Lee Loughner was not a political protestor at all. He is in fact a psychotic schizophrenic. Within a few days the media grasped this fact, but let us examine the striking, actually astonishing and outrageous difference between the amount of press coverage afforded to Jared Lee Loughner as opposed to what was afforded to James J. Lee.

Within three days a search of the New York Times returns seven pages and 78 total results, and this is just the beginning. Jared Lee Loughner has not yet made a court appearance with his appointed Public Defender Judy Clarke.

Four months after James J. Lee was shot dead as if he were an insect, a search of the New York Times archives returns one result.

Seventy-eight to one.

You are who you kill.

In America those who kill get the attention. Those who do not, or who are the victims of the police, are ignored.

That’s not democracy, that’s fascism, a culture of death.

My Demands

The Discovery Channel MUST broadcast to the world their commitment to save the planet and to do the following IMMEDIATELY:

1. The Discovery Channel and it’s affiliate channels MUST have daily television programs at prime time slots based on Daniel Quinn’s “My Ishmael” pages 207-212 where solutions to save the planet would be done in the same way as the Industrial Revolution was done, by people building on each other’s inventive ideas. Focus must be given on how people can live WITHOUT giving birth to more filthy human children since those new additions continue pollution and are pollution. A game show format contest would be in order. Perhaps also forums of leading scientists who understand and agree with the Malthus-Darwin science and the problem of human overpopulation. Do both. Do all until something WORKS and the natural world starts improving and human civilization building STOPS and is reversed! MAKE IT INTERESTING SO PEOPLE WATCH AND APPLY SOLUTIONS!!!!

2. All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.

3. All programs promoting War and the technology behind those must cease. There is no sense in advertising weapons of mass-destruction anymore. Instead, talk about ways to disassemble civilization and concentrate the message in finding SOLUTIONS to solving global military mechanized conflict. Again, solutions solutions instead of just repeating the same old wars with newer weapons. Also, keep out the fraudulent peace movements. They are liars and fakes and had no real intention of ending the wars. ALL OF THEM ARE FAKE! On one hand, they claim they want the wars to end, on the other, they are demanding the human population increase. World War II had 2 Billion humans and after that war, the people decided that tripling the population would assure peace. WTF??? STUPIDITY! MORE HUMANS EQUALS MORE WAR!

4. Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This is your obligation. If you think it isn’t, then get hell off the planet! Breathe Oil! It is the moral obligation of everyone living otherwise what good are they??

5. Immigration: Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. Find solutions to stopping it. Call for people in the world to develop solutions to stop it completely and permanently. Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!)

6. Find solutions for Global Warming, Automotive pollution, International Trade, factory pollution, and the whole blasted human economy. Find ways so that people don’t build more housing pollution which destroys the environment to make way for more human filth! Find solutions so that people stop breeding as well as stopping using Oil in order to REVERSE Global warming and the destruction of the planet!

7. Develop shows that mention the Malthusian sciences about how food production leads to the overpopulation of the Human race. Talk about Evolution. Talk about Malthus and Darwin until it sinks into the stupid people’s brains until they get it!!

8. Saving the Planet means saving what’s left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies! You’re the media, you can reach enough people. It’s your resposibility because you reach so many minds!!!

9. Develop shows that will correct and dismantle the dangerous US world economy. Find solutions for their disasterous Ponzi-Casino economy before they take the world to another nuclear war.

10. Stop all shows glorifying human birthing on all your channels and on TLC. Stop Future Weapons shows or replace the dialogue condemning the people behind these developments so that the shows become exposes rather than advertisements of Arms sales and development!

11. You’re also going to find solutions for unemployment and housing. All these unemployed people makes me think the US is headed toward more war.

Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what’s left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture.

For every human born, ACRES of wildlife forests must be turned into farmland in order to feed that new addition over the course of 60 to 100 YEARS of that new human’s lifespan! THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREST CREATURES!!!! All human procreation and farming must cease!

It is the responsiblity of everyone to preserve the planet they live on by not breeding any more children who will continue their filthy practices. Children represent FUTURE catastrophic pollution whereas their parents are current pollution. NO MORE BABIES! Population growth is a real crisis. Even one child born in the US will use 30 to a thousand times more resources than a Third World child. It’s like a couple are having 30 babies even though it’s just one! If the US goes in this direction maybe other countries will too!

Also, war must be halted. Not because it’s morally wrong, but because of the catastrophic environmental damage modern weapons cause to other creatures. FIND SOLUTIONS JUST LIKE THE BOOK SAYS! Humans are supposed to be inventive. INVENT, DAMN YOU!!

The world needs TV shows that DEVELOP solutions to the problems that humans are causing, not stupify the people into destroying the world. Not encouraging them to breed more environmentally harmful humans.

Saving the environment and the remaning species diversity of the planet is now your mindset. Nothing is more important than saving them. The Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants, Froggies, Turtles, Apes, Raccoons, Beetles, Ants, Sharks, Bears, and, of course, the Squirrels.

The humans? The planet does not need humans.

You MUST KNOW the human population is behind all the pollution and problems in the world, and YET you encourage the exact opposite instead of discouraging human growth and procreation. Surely you MUST ALREADY KNOW this!

I want Discovery Communications to broadcast on their channels to the world their new program lineup and I want proof they are doing so. I want the new shows started by asking the public for inventive solution ideas to save the planet and the remaining wildlife on it.

These are the demands and sayings of Lee.
